BEST DRESSED: GRAMMY’S RED CARPET 2016

A quick roundup of some of my favorite looks from the Grammy Red Carpet scene last night. Overall, nothing too exciting as Vanessa Friedman states in her red carpet review this morning, “At the Grammys, A Muted Night for Fashion”. There were no jaw-dropping looks, good or bad. Maybe the designers are focusing on fashion week. Maybe the stars want the focus to be on their music, not on their clothes. Anyway, a few of my favorite red carpet looks from last night.

A simple, blush slip dress previews two of the season’s biggest trends.

Simply stunning.

Classic and chic, nothing less than what we expect from Adele.

Loving the color and train on Ariana Grande’s gown.

Usually sequins seem very “stereotypical prom” to me, but Selena Gomez pulls off this Calvin Klein look beautifully.

Another look I surprisingly loved. Usually I’m not a fan of yellow, but this from the fabric to the shape, this dress compliments Lianne La Havas very nicely.

A third surprise. Ombre usually makes me think of unfortunate middle school fashion, but from the tiered shape to the feather detailing, Kacey Musgraves’ dress is stunning.
