I had bought this burgundy hat back in the fall but had only worn it once or twice. I thought it would add a nice pop of color to this all black-and-white ensemble (so typical). I am loving belts lately, and this one from my mom is no exception. I’m trying to convince her to let me take it to school with me, but it’s not going well so far, ha! I also sported another trend I’m loving lately: lace up flats. I had been admiring these shoes for months and finally bought them right before my trip. I always love Steve Madden’s shoes, and these are no exception. After my ten day European trip, I can say that these are the comfiest flats. I wore them walking around in London and Paris and never had any problems. The only thing I would point out is that they are ultra suede, which gets a little dirty, so be careful of that.
In case you missed my first London outfit post or my London recap & travel guide, they’re both linked here. I wore this outfit on our first night in London when we explored my parents’ old neighborhood in Chelsea and grabbed dinner at Pizza Express. Before we left, my mom, sister and I went to Nordstrom Rack and I picked up this striped top (actually, my sister found it and I snagged it from her). I thought it would be a great layering piece for the trip, and into the fall. I can’t wait to pair it with fun skirts and my leather jacket.
