This Friday, I was lucky enough to attend Nicole Miller’s S/S 2016 show at New York Fashion Week. Her collection was inspired by urban life and New York City. I loved the juxtaposition of the urban influences and the feminine spring accents in each look: black and white graphic prints, neon color blocking and bright florals.

Nicole Miller’s New York Fashion Week show was more than I ever could have expected it to be. The music, the lighting, the energy and the models’ struts were so engulfing. It was impossible to not tap your feet along to the music and smile in your seat. The entire venue buzzed with excitement and enthusiasm for fashion. The flashing cameras, the endless selfies and the bouncing music created a unique scene that can only be found at New York Fashion Week. Even just browsing the audience, I felt inspired by the trendy, city-chic outfits each guest sported. Seeing each model walk by in a beautiful garment that was inspired by the very city we were in was possibly one of the coolest moments of the night. I feel so lucky to live so close to New York City and to have had the opportunity to visit and explore the city throughout my life.

My favorite part was the parade of models during the finale of the show. Seeing the entire collection at once really made me appreciate Nicole Miller’s (as well as other NYFW designers) keen eye for detail and creative eye. Each item in the collection was neither too similar nor too different from the other. It was clear each look was created from the same inspiration, but they were certainly not all created with the same fabric or silhouette. The entire collection is detailed on Vogue Runway (previously style.com). Below are a few of my favorite looks & the clearest pictures I got at the show.

XO, Nicole
